Last week, my family and I went up to Door County, Wisconsin for the week. My mom was a featured artist at Edgewood Orchard Gallery in Fish Creek, so we went to see the opening. It was hotter and more humid that usual up there, which made going to the beach a must each day! Door County is probably my favorite place in the world, especially when I go in May, because the summer crowds aren't there yet.
While I was there, I went to visit the Frykman Studio Gallery to see Lucas and Heather's work. Make sure you check them out, they are wonderful photographers! I had to buy a few prints from them!
I wanted to try to shoot the Milky Way at least one night while I was up there, so on Monday night, my boyfriend and I went out. The moon was incredibly bright that night, so I had a hard time getting a good shot, but I got a couple I liked.
The first isn't of the Milky Way, but I love the outline of the trees with the stars behind it. Discover Wisconsin actually featured this photo on their Facebook page!
The second is of the Milky Way over Lake Michigan. Unfortunately, it isn't as grand as it was at Crater Lake, but it is still pretty amazing.
I will be adding a few more soon so be sure to check back!
