Yesterday, my boyfriend, Scott and I, took our dog Drake to Banner Marsh in Banner, IL. My boyfriend is a big duck hunter, so he wanted to go out and check the water levels before hunting season starts at the end of the month. I wanted to go out because I rented the Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC from http://www.lensrentals.com and I wanted to try it out. It was kind of cold out, about 60 degrees, but it ended up being a perfect evening. There was no wind so the 60 degrees was perfect. There was hardly anyone there, just a few people fishing, so it was so quiet and peaceful. The sun started to set so we began to head back to the truck. There hadn't been a cloud in the sky, so I didn't expect a great sunset. As the sun was setting, clouds were forming and it ended up being beautiful! It was an absolutely perfect ending to a great evening! I really enjoyed the lens, it seemed to take nice photos and I like that it has image stabilization, the Canon counterpart does not. I am looking at buying the Canon 6D in December and I will need to buy a new normal range lens to go with it. I think this will be the one I will go with rather than the Canon 24-70 that comes in the kit.
